Privacy Policy
What's gathered, the reasoning, and how much authority remains yours.
Last updated: June 2026
Health data isn't ordinary data, so we've written this to actually make sense rather than hide behind legal boilerplate. Here's what Hume Health Corp gathers through humehealthband.org and the Hume Health app, what happens with it, and the choices left in your hands.
1. Information We Take In
Directly from you
- Checkout and account essentials — name, email, shipping address, payment details.
- Anything you mention while corresponding with our support team.
Automatically, through the device and app
- Raw sensor output — heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, movement — which becomes the figures the app shows you, including Metabolic Momentum and biological age.
- Technical footprint — device model, app version, general usage habits — that keeps things running smoothly.
2. What This Data Actually Powers
- Converting raw biomarker signals into the readable trends inside the app.
- Fulfilling orders, coordinating shipping, and processing returns or warranty issues.
- Responding to whatever support questions come our way.
- Refining sensor calibration and our algorithms, typically with anonymized or bundled data.
- Sending order-related updates, plus product news — but only to people who've opted into that specifically.
3. What The Band Records Is Yours
Nothing gathered by the Hume Health Band becomes our property — it's yours from the start. Download your complete history through the Hume Health app whenever it's convenient, and if a clean break is what you want, contact support about deleting your account; that generally wraps up within 30 days, aside from a handful of records (order history, say) we're legally obligated to retain.
4. When Data Moves Beyond Us
Selling health information isn't something we do, under any circumstance. It moves outward only in specific situations:
- Operational vendors who make things function — payment processors, shipping companies, cloud infrastructure — each contractually restricted to using your data solely for that purpose.
- Legal obligations, when a court order or regulatory demand leaves no alternative.
- Corporate transitions — a merger, sale, or acquisition — with these same privacy commitments carrying forward to whoever takes over.
5. How We Guard What's Stored
Encryption applies whether your data sits in storage or is actively transmitted, following standard industry approaches. Internal access stays limited to team members with a genuine need. Nothing is fully immune to risk, but given the sensitivity involved, we hold ourselves to a higher standard.
6. Cookies On humehealthband.org
Cookies and comparable tools help us remember your settings, keep your session active, and get a rough sense of how the site is used so we can make improvements. Browser settings let you manage or disable these, though certain site features might not function as smoothly if you do.
7. What You're Entitled To Ask For
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to view, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold, and every marketing email includes an instant unsubscribe link. The contact information further down is where to start if you'd like to act on any of that.
8. Regarding Anyone Under 13
The Hume Health Band and its app aren't built with children in mind, and we don't set out to collect their data. If you believe otherwise, reach out and we'll remove it.
9. Data That Crosses Borders
Using our Services from a different country than where our servers operate might mean your information travels internationally as part of standard processing. No matter where it lands, we aim to apply this Policy's standards consistently.
10. How Updates Get Handled
We revisit this page periodically, with any change reflected in the "Last updated" date above. For anything significant, expect a more direct notice too — an email or in-app alert, not just a quiet edit.
Have a question about your data?
Reach support through the Hume Health app, or email whichever address is on your order confirmation — whether it's a quick question or acting on any right described above.
